How Does Ozone Work?
Ozone (O3) is a pale blue gas that is made up of volatile molecules. When they come in contact with other substances, oxidation takes place — a powerful chemical reaction that breaks up the other molecules. That allows ozone to eliminate foul-smelling gases and kill bacteria and viruses by breaking their cells at the molecular level. What’s more, as ozone is a gas, it can reach places in your vehicle that generally don’t get much attention in a standard cleaning service. These include the area under the seats, inside the air vents and speakers, or under and within the upholstery.
What Is an Ozone Treatment?
Ozone gas shock treatment helps to permanently get rid of unpleasant and stubborn odours in all types of vehicles. As ozone is the most potent disinfecting agent in the world, it is also used to kill bacteria, viruses, and other potentially toxic life forms that may live in your car or van.
The treatment involves pumping ozone inside your vehicle using a special generator. The amount of time that takes depends on the strength of the odour. As the gas saturates the vehicle, it kills off any bacteria and viruses that may be there and neutralises all smells. The ozone entirely dissipates around thirty minutes after the procedure and poses no risk to you or your family’s health.
