Should You Be Washing Your Car in Hot Weather?
Washing your car in bright, direct sunshine is not generally recommended as soap and water will dry quickly leaving spots and residue. It’s much better to park your car in some shade or wait until early morning or late evening. The cooler temperatures and indirect sunlight will make washing your car much easier!
Wash Your Car Section By Section
A good way to make sure you get a great clean in hot weather is to clean your vehicle in sections. This will allow you the time you need to get a good clean without soap and water drying out.
It is also a good idea to dry off each section completely after washing it as this will eliminate any spots or marks.
Leave The Wax For Another Day
Most waxes are not suitable for use in hot weather and direct sunlight as they don’t go on to the car in the normal and preferable way. They can also end up setting or dying patchily and become hard to remove. So, either leave the waxing for another day or try purchasing one that is specifically designed to be used in hot conditions.
Take Care of Yourself As Well As Your Car
Something else to remember if you’re planning to head out to wash your car is sunscreen! It’s really easy to get carried away looking after your car and forget to look after yourself.
